2018 Rüdesheimer Drachenstein Riesling Auslese 0.5L

On the nose, this Auslese presents itself very much in keeping with its terroir, with tremendous fruitiness and lush exoticism. Aromas of papaya, mango, and passion fruit dominate; ripe figs and orange blossom are also discernible. On the palate, the lush tropical fruit combines with very dominant citrus notes and orange zest. The Drachenstein Auslese from this fantastic vintage is very juicy and yet clear; we also appreciate its slightly herbal nuances and, at the beginning, very subtle smoky notes. We are delighted by the prospect that this wine will only reach its full potential in 10 to 15 years.
