The new vintage BERG ROTTLAND GG is already very expressive and is supported by the spicy structure created by extended lees aging. A new type of BERG ROTTLAND GG, yet still imbued with its familiar attributes: longevity, power, and juiciness – in this case, you can't get enough. Pure elegance meets an expansive expression of exotic fruits on the palate, which, combined with the extract, provides the necessary volume. A juicy finish and a long aftertaste make this wine a very appealing Riesling even in its early youth, and we are very much looking forward to its further development. A truly great mountain wine!

Berg Rottland

The vineyard on the western edge of Rüdesheim is perfectly south-facing and has a 33% slope. Its soil consists of weathered Hunsrück slate, characterized by its grey-blue color and marine origin.

The humus-rich surface is covered with slate slabs and fine slate grit, ensuring good aeration. The stone covering protects against drying out and erosion, while the soil is enriched by loess and mineral-rich topsoil.

Thanks to the nutrient-rich slate, the grapes ripen particularly early here and benefit from optimal conditions.
