Schlossberg Mountain
The Rüdesheimer Berg Schlossberg is the steepest and arguably most impressive vineyard in the Rheingau – with slopes of up to 70% directly below the Ehrenfels ruins. The terraces, facing precisely south, lie in the bend of the Rhine opposite Bingen and benefit from maximum sunshine as well as the heat-retaining soils of quartzite and red slate. These conditions produce powerful, spicy Rieslings with delicate acidity and great aging potential – wines for connoisseurs with character.
